How to Transfer Services and/or Domains From One Client to Another
To transfer services from one Web Hosting Canada (WHC) client to another, follow these steps:
- Ensure the new owner has an active account with WHC. If they do not, they should contact our Sales team to create one. They can reach Sales by starting a chat on whc.ca or by calling us daily from 9 AM to 5 PM EST at (514) 504-2113.
- Both the original owner and the new owner must submit a support ticket. To do this, go to Client Area > Support > Create Ticket and include the following information:
- The domain name and/or services to be transferred (please be very specific).
- The full name and email address of both the original and new account owners.
- WHC will process the transfer request within 48 hour of receiving both tickets.
After the transfer, the new owner should update the domain's contact information (WHOIS). This will ensure accurate ownership records. For the steps to take, please refer to this article.
