Error "Object Status Prohibits Operation"

If you get an error Object Status Prohibits Operation when changing the DNS of your .CA domain name, it's likely that your domain is locked.

To unlock your domain and enable DNS changes:
  1. Log in to the Client Area at
  2. Click on Domains, My Domains
  3. If you have multiple domains, click on the domain you wish to manage
  4. Click on Registrar Lock
  5. Click Disable Registrar Lock
  6. Make your nameserver changes (or any other operation on your domain)
  7. (Optional) Re-enable Registrar Lock to secure your domain once again
