How to Change your cPanel Password
Here's how to change your cPanel control panel's password:
- Log in to the WHC Client Area, using your email address and password (these are NOT the same as your cPanel username and password).
- Click Hosting & Websites (or Servers if you have a Cloud or Dedicated service) and, if you manage multiple services with WHC, click on the service for which you wish to change the password
- Click on the 'gear' icon (located on the top-right), then click Change cPanel Password
- Enter and confirm the new password, and click Save Changes. Note that only secure passwords are accepted.
Note: In the old Client Area, you can access this setting via My Services > Change cPanel Password.
You're done!
Pro tip: Your cPanel username and password are also used for your (S)FTP connections.
