To Cancel a Domain Name

Normally, domain names cannot actively be cancelled. Instead, they can be set to not renew automatically at their expiry date.

  1. Log in to the Client Area at https://clients.whc.ca
  2. In your dashboard, click on Domains, then Domains
  3. Under Auto Renew, toggle off for the domains you do not wish to renew
  4. If you have any renewal invoices already issued for the domain you are cancelling, this process will normally cancel an open invoice

If this is not the case after you have completed the above-mentioned cancellation process, please submit a written request with your invoice number so that our staff may review and adjust it manually.

IMPORTANT: In the rare case that you need to delete your domain name, please submit a request by ticket in your Client Area or contact our support team.  Note that this is irreversible and carries significant consequences.

For refund requests (if eligible), please get in touch with our billing team after having completed the above-mentioned cancellation steps.

Note: To disable a renewal in the old Client Area, locate the left-side menu, click on Auto Renew Settings then click Disable Auto Renew.
