How Email 2FA Protects Your WHC Account
Email Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your account. When triggered, a one-time 5-digit code is sent to your account email. You’ll need to enter this code before you can continue logging in or making certain changes to your account.
When Email 2FA is triggered
- Logging in from a new location – If you log in from an IP address or location we haven’t seen in the last 90 days, a 2FA code will be sent to your email.
- Changing your account email or password – A 2FA code will be sent to your current account email before the change is applied.
- Adding a new user – The main account holder will receive a 2FA code to approve this action.
- During checkout – If you log in from the order form and your account hasn’t been verified during that session, a 2FA code will be required before you can continue.
Note
- If you have two-factor authentication already enabled on your account and you’re using an authenticator app, Email 2FA will NOT be triggered for login.
- Even if you’ve disabled other security-related email notifications, Email 2FA messages will still be sent when required.
How it works
- When Email 2FA is needed, you’ll see a prompt after entering your username and password.
- A 5-digit code will be sent to your account email within a few seconds.
- Enter this code into the prompt within 10 minutes.
- If the code expires or you don't receive it, click the link to resend the email below the code entry fields to request a new one.
- Once the correct code is entered, you’ll proceed to your account as usual.
